Camping & Holiday World

The Reinhart's went on their first camping trip, well, as close to camping as we'll ever get! We went this past weekend with Grammy & Pappy to Holiday World and to Lake Rudolph Campground. We all had a great time and hope to make it an annual trip!

Starting the day out-swimsuits....CHECK, sunscreen....CHECK

Her first slide! She LOVED IT!

FUN TIMES!

She thinks Grammy & Pappy need one of these in their pool! I'm sure they'll get right on buying that for her! :)

Twisty slide...fun & kinda scary!

Airplane ride...she wasn't too sure of this!

Posing with Santa

Merry Go Round

Seahorse Ride

Bumper Boats...she loved this too!

All tuckered out before we got to the car

Camping with Grammy & Pappy

Roasting marshmellows

She wasn't too excited about her first smores

She loved the woods!
We had a great time and can't wait to go back. I seriously encourage everyone to take their kids to Holiday World. Laney really enjoyed the waterpark! The rides were just OK, but the waterpark was amazing! She went to bed last night saying she wanted to go back! "Oh Laney, we'll be back sometime!"

First time tubing!

Laney went tubing at the lake for the first time ever today! She LOVED it! She kept telling Daddy, "Faster! Fast like Madison!" Madison went tubing right before Laney, and of course, went a lot faster than what Laney and Benji were going! She also said, "Fall off like Madison!" Benj didn't think it was good idea to let her fall off....good decision Dad!

Max-2 Months

WOW...2 months already! Our little man isn't so little anymore! He is changing more and more each day.

He had his 2 month check-up with Dr Kleber today and did very well. She couldn't believe how good he was for her and how well he's been for us these first 2 months. Here are his stats:

Weight-12lbs, 13 oz (75%)
Height-24 1/4 inches (90%)
Head- 14 inches (?%)-I know it's small!!
At 2 months, Max is:
-Holding his head up a little better, but still needs some support
-Sleeping VERY well....wakes up 1 time at night (he HAS slept through the night one time, which was a few days ago). He takes 3 good naps a day. The morning nap is about 2 hours, afternoon is about 2-2 1/2, and a little hour catnap in the early evening.
-Eating every 3 hours during the day and going about 6-7 hours at night while sleeping. I'm about to switch him to eating every 4 hours.
-Wearing size 3-6 months clothes and wearing size 1 diapers (I've been buying the 1/2 diapers, which are great for him also)
-Enjoying tummy time for about 10 minutes a few times a day
-Smiling at us when we talk to him...I love that!
-Making the occasional, "cooing" noises....love that noise!
-Does well when babysitters and Daddy have to give him a bottle

Betsy's Baptism

Betsy Laura-Marie Bruce had a very special day yesterday, June 12. She was baptised at St. Ambrose. This was the first Catholic baptism that I've been to, and the first one that Benji participated in. We were very honored to be asked by John and Tiffany to be Betsy's Godparents, and it's something that means a lot to us! We love that little girl so much! (Charlie too!)
Betsy, We promise to love you, support you, and praise you in everything you do in life. You have such a loving and wonderful family. You truely are a very special little girl! We love you, Betsy!

Mother's Day/Father's Day Gifts....

Being a homeowner, there are so many projects that always need to be done. And, of course, there is never enough time (or money!) to get everything done when you want it done! Within the past year, we have changed so many things about our house. We have lived in our house for almost 3 years now (hard to believe!), but little by little, we keep updating it and making small changes. Besides the basic painting to update our house, we have remodeled our bathroom (totally gutted it!), tore out the carpet in our house and added wood flooring.
Our latest change to our house has been our landscaping. We've tossed around the idea of redoing it, but really never had to. With Miss Laney receiving a swingset for her 2nd birthday, we know we will be spending a lot of days and evenings outside. While she is enjoying her new swingset, we are enjoying our new landscaping!

She loves loves loves it!

We are so happy with how it turned out. It was a lot of hard work, especially on Benji's part. Getting a total of 10 tons of rock and unloading it is HARD work! That boy deserves a little credit! Thanks, Benj! We are already loving our new backyard. Grilling out, playing with the kids and dogs, listening to music (Benji's Bose SoundDock for his 30th bday...another AWESOME investment!), and having a few cocktails are some of our favorite things to do in our new and improved backyard!

Memorial Day Weekend!

What a great start to the summer! We not only had beautiful weather and sunshine all weekend long, but Aunt Malinda and Uncle Matt stopped in for a visit! They were so excited to see Laney and get to meet Max. Unfortunately, we all spaced taking pictures....I don't have many of them, which I'm pretty bummed about. Maybe good old Mom got a few good ones for me! :)
We had a pretty busy weekend, which consisted of hanging out by the pool, cookouts, going to the lake, and more pooltime!

Max and Great Grandma Dee
Max was exhausted from his busy day out in the sun!

Daddy & Max just enjoying a nice warm evening outside

Miss Laney LOVED being in the pool!

We are all hoping that this summer continues to be a great one for pool weather. Last summer, we didn't have the warmest summer, so let's all hope for SUNSHINE!
