Holiday World 2012

It was our third year to visit the fun and exciting Holiday World and Lake Rudolph!  Seriously, for those of you who are close, it is a must for all families.  I know I say it every year, but I'll say it again (and will continue to in the coming years)....I am NOT a camper, but Lake Rudolph makes it so much fun!

The Bruce Family joined us again this year, which is always a blast!

The kids rode plenty of rides

 Went down many slides...

And had tons of fun!

Splash land is always a favorite with all both kids

But it's always nice to spend a little time just floating in a boat

Max experienced his first roller coaster!  He LOVED it...and of course, he was a trooper and let Mom hold his hands up the entire ride!

We always look forward to our annual Holiday World trip!

The camping is always fun!  S'mores are a favorite

 Give the kids one....

and they're all smiles!

So long Holiday World....See ya next year!

Modeling debut.....

For those of you who don't know, Laney and Max were asked to be a part of a children's book that was being written by a Seymour author.  Janet Myers, RN has written two books about her dog, Bentley.  Bentley is a trained pet therapy dog at Schneck Medical in Seymour.  Janet's first book, The Visit, was published last year.  Her second book, a children's book called Booboos, Band-aids and Bentley, was published in June.  For more information about Bentley, Janet, and her books, please visit her website. There is a link to ordering online, if interested.

Last night was a book debut for all of the children and parents to purchase books and see Bentley again.  My kids LOVE Bentley.  Laney has asked many times to go see Bentley at work.  Luckily, we haven't been patients at the hospital.  Although, I know Janet will always welcome us to come visit Bentley!
Max couldn't get enough of Bentley at the party!
Laney followed Bentley around wherever he went!  Poor Bentley looks exhausted!
The Hollywood theme was perfect for the evening!
Laney and Max both got their books signed by Janet
A few of the photographer's favorite photos of Laney and Max.  These pictures were taken back in February at Schneck in Seymour.  The photographer, Jamie Marshall, worked with Laney and Max before on their birthday sessions and my maternity session with Max.  She's amazing!

Again, if you're interested in a copy of The Visit or Booboos, Band-Aids and Bentley, please visit Janet's website or contact me and I can get one ordered for you!

It's Official....

Our house is FOR SALE!!!!

We have loved living here for the past 5 (almost) years, but are interested in something bigger.  With interest rates being so great now, we figured we would give it a shot at selling and see what happens.  Yes, we have a house in mind that we LOVE, but first thing's first....selling our home!

Wish us luck....let the fun  stress begin!

Destin Family Vacation 2012

How does one week go so fast?  The countdown calendar was made at the beginning of the month (kids put "beachy" stickers on each day...they loved doing it every morning after breakfast), but now it's time to take the calendar down.

We had a rough start to our trip with Tropical Storm Debby in the Gulf.  A couple of cloudy days and high winds, and rain didn't stop us from having fun (and shopping!).  What else do you do when it rains on vacation!?!?

That anticipated Friday of day 1 of vacation was finally here....and now it's gone.  We have the fun memories and beautiful pictures.
We are now headed back to work.
 Back to our regular schedule.
  Back to reality.
Destin, FL was our "home" for a week.  Mommy and Daddy loved seeing how much the kids enjoyed the beach and ocean.
Laney was our little water bug all weekend.  I was really concerned how she would be since she's become quite the pool swimmer lately.  I figured she would be all about the pool and not so much on the ocean.

  Boy, was I wrong!!!

Max, on the other hand, liked the beach and ocean a lot more than I thought he would!  He hadn't been since last year, when he was 14 months old.  What a difference a year makes!
This year, we traveled with a large group.  We went with the entire Reinhart family (minus a few).  There was a total of 33 of us!  It was so much fun!
The kids had a blast.  They really enjoyed playing with their cousins, especially their buddies Charlo and Betsy!  .
So many fun things to do....We caught a lizard
 and pet a shark!
But most of all, we enjoyed time together as a family!
She's already asking when we can go back....
 He won't stop saying, "SHARK!!!"
 Bye, Bye Destin.....it's always fun!
