Two years has come and gone. It's that time of year again to celebrate our little guy, Max!
Of course, we head on over to El Nopal to see Victor for our traditional birthday dinner.
For those of you who don't know, they smash whip cream in the birthday boy/girls face...Max wasn't happy about it.
I really don't blame him, but he enjoyed it once we cleaned him up and everyone stopped laughing at him
Poor thing just doesn't like all of the attention
but how can you NOT pay attention to this little blue eyed boy?
The next tradition was the pancakes in the morning. We had "cake batter pancakes" (compliments of Pinterest) shaped as Mickey Mouse (I tried!). They were pretty yummy!!
Luckily, I have the ability to make my own schedule, so I took the day off to hang out with the Birthday Boy!
He got some cool additions to his new train track, a DVD from Laney, and a "special surprise trip" in a few weeks....stay tuned!!
At 2 years old, Max weighs 26.6 lbs and is 35 inches tall. At his appointment last week, he had a clean bill of health. Dr Kleber said he was right on track with his learning, talking, and growing. We all have bets on when he'll outgrow his big sister! :) Max enjoys Mickey Mouse (more of an obsession), trains, blocks, and trucks. He loves following Laney around and doing everything she does. He sleeps with Theodore from The Chipmunks and carries him throughout the house. He's talking more, but still has his own language at times. We just give him the nod and "yeeaaahhh"....who knows what we're agreeing to!
Happy 2nd Birthday Max Charles! We love you, Hammer!! I've gotta explain the "Hammer" nickname for those that don't know it.....his initials are M.C. so the Hammer just had to be added to the end. Our babysitter, Kenzie, asked why we called him that. My response was, "MC Hammer. Do you even know who that is?" (she's 18 years old). Her response, "Yeah, a wrestler!"
sigh......
